  • Active WA State License or Compact license<br> - Must have SS and DOB at match<br>
  • Minimum of 2 current (within 1 year) references - Reference must be from a Charge, RN or higher<br>

<br> <strong><u>Facility Details:</u></strong><br> - Compliance is due a minimum of 10 days before start date OR will get pushed to next orientation, if available<br> - 107 bed facility<br> <br> <strong><u>Orientation:</u></strong><br> - Hospital orientation, 2-12hr shifts on unit<br> - only submit with 13weeks, no less<br> - 48 hours/wk <br> <br> <strong><u>Unit Details</u>:</strong><br> - Certs Required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS<br> - 2 yrs ICU experience required<br> - Skills: Strong Peripheral IVs (preferred), Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation, Invasive Line Management (CVP, Alines), IV Medication Titration, Vent/trach/high-flo BiPap Management (RT does manage these devices, but knowledge of them is expected)<br> - Shift: 12hours. 7pm-7am<br> - Combined ICU/PCU unit; 10 ICU, 22 PCU<br> - 10 ICU patients, average census of ICU patients is around 5. Manually proning, intubated, paralyzed patients, multiple drips.<br> - Expect to be on the  PCU if low ICU census<br> - 22 PCU Beds<br> - ICU nurses will care for PCU patients – please make sure traveler understands that the majority of their contract could be spent caring for PCU level patients<br> - PCU nurses are not required to take ICU patients<br> - Floating to other departments happens in turn (Medsurg, ER, occasionally Mother baby but only to take care of post GYN surgical patients- no labor and delivery)<br> - Patient Types: Sepsis, Pneumonia, COPD, CHF, GI Bleeds, ETOH/IVDA, SI, Psych, COVID, Neuro: Stable CVA (no interventions) Will do TPA at times, TBI (stable), CVICU: Pacemakers, Angiograms, Post Cath (TR Bands Radial and Femoral), Fem-Pop Bypass, Pacemaker Insertion, Surgical Patients: Ortho, General Surgery, Manual Proning, Temporary Pacemakers, No Open Hearts, No Neuro intervention, HD (ICU RNs will be trained to do dialysis (short runs), No CRRT<br> - Travelers are<u> not </u>expected to care for: Balloon Pumps, Hypothermia Protocol (unless they are comfortable)<br> - Patient Ratios: 1:2 ICU; 1:4 PCU<br> - EMR: EPIC<br> <br> Simplifi ID#325676, 327368, 327369
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years recent experience in the job's primary area of care
  • Active license or appropriate accreditation in one of the 50 US states
  • Additional requirements & certifications as may be requested by the specificfacility/unit
  • An enthusiastic, adventurous spirit with a desire to help
  • Covid-19 Vaccine Required
Duties & Responsibilities
  • You will provide professional nursing services which include, but are not limited to, nursing interventions and their documentation, case finding, health teaching/counseling and provision of supportive and/or restorative care
  • You will also participate in staff training, prepare clinical and administrative reports, maintain infection control standards, and function as a member of a treatment team
  • As a Nurse you may provide supervision to subordinate professional, paraprofessional, and support staff in the performance of their patient/resident care duties and be responsible for maintaining inventory standards for medicine, controlled drugs, and narcotics
