  • Active WA State License or Compact license<br> - Must have SS and DOB at match<br>
  • Minimum of 2 current (within 1 year) references - Reference must be from a Charge, RN or higher<br>
  • Alert: Once offers are out they are not valid until acceptance. Its imperative that offers are immediately accepted or declined OR risk being rescinded<br>
  • Hepatitis C: Required for L&D positions<br>
  • COVID-19 Vaccination: Declination NOT accepted without documented proof of medical contraindication<br>
  • LOA must be included at submit to be considered.<br>
<br> <strong><u>Facility Details:</u></strong><br> - only submit with 13weeks, no less<br> - Compliance is due a minimum of 10 days before start date OR will get pushed to next orientation, if available<br> - Strong L&D experience.<br> <br> <strong><u>Unit Details:</u></strong><br> -Required Certifications: ACLS, NRP, BLS, fetal monitoring course (AWHONN or Relias module)<br> -Weekend rotation: Every other weekend as needed<br> -On call? If so, what is that schedule?  L&D takes 24 hours of call per 4 week schedule period<br> -Shift times:  1900-0730<br> -Schedule cycle: 4 weeks<br> -Minimum Experience: 3 years<br> -Beds: 25 LDRP, 3 Obstetrical emergency room beds, 6 post-op/antepartum beds (4 rooms double occupancy)<br> -L&D floats to Mother Baby.  Mother Baby floats off the unit if needed.<br> -Consider 1st time traveler: No<br> -Receptionist Available: 1-2 each shift, varies on time of day<br> -Telemetry Monitoring: remote<br> -Are RNs required to read/measure tele strips?  No, but should recognize when there is a need to call a rapid response and/or for anesthesia support.<br> -Charge nurse:  1 for L&D and 1 for Mother Baby each shift<br> -Phlebotomy: L&D RNs draw labs with IV starts and can perform phlebotomy if they are comfortable<br> -IV/VAT Team:  L&D starts their own IVs but we do have IV therapy if needed for difficult starts<br> -Resource Nurse RT: in house and attend deliveries with NICU<br> -Hospitalist:  OB Hospitalist coverage 24/7<br>  -EMR:  Cerner & Fetalink<br>  -Scrub Color:  provided scrubs are navy blue, but Mother Baby is permitted to wear their own scrubs.  L&D is expected to change into scrubs at the hospital.  May wear their own or hospital provided if on the floor but must wear hospital laundered in the OR<br> <br> Simplifi: 330244</span></span>
Qualifications:

Basic travel nursing requirements include:

  • 1-2 years recent experience in the job's primary area of care
  • Active license or appropriate accreditation in one of the 50 US states
  • Additional requirements & certifications as may be requested by the specificfacility/unit
  • An enthusiastic, adventurous spirit with a desire to help
