Holiday RTO will not be approved so client has asked that we don't submit if the nurse has any holiday time off request.  <li>26 week contracts accepted <li>If candidate has worked as a perm employee at any of the below facilities within the last 12 months they can't be submitted for consideration: Albany, Glen Falls, Saratoga Hospital and Columbia Memorial <li>Please do not submit your candidate unless they’re 100% onboard with accepting the offer if given. The client is very sensitive to drops and we need to prevent any drops. The client charges a $750.00 cancellation fee every time a nurse accepts the offer and drops. So please screen your nurse prior to submitting and make sure they’re onboard with starting the assignment if offered.  <li>Client requires Certs at submit. We can't submit your candidate unless all certs are active and not expired.  </ul> <br> <u>Position Details: </u> <ul> <li>BLS Required <li>Must have strong neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular experience <li>Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : 35 OR’s – 25 in block currently with 1 dedicated Trauma emergency room, 1 hybrid room  <li>Type of equipment : we have a large number of equipment specific to each specialty. We do not have a burn unit in the hospital and we do not do VAD’s, Heart transplant or lung transplants we do most other procedures  <li>Scheduling requirements: all of our travelers work 1:3 weekends.  <li>Floating policy: to areas with competency. AMC has an internal float team that assists in filling holes. Traditionally OR staff do not float to other areas  <li>Nurses and Scrub techs must have 2 years’ experience. Level 1 trauma experience is a plus. We are looking for team members that have the ability to be part of the surgical team and will quickly be able to work independently.   <li>Procedures performed on unit: We do complex Neuro cases, neuro navigation cases, spine both neuro and ortho, robotic cases in urology, gyn, general surgery, bariatrics, colorectal, thoracic and ENT; minimally invasive vascular and advanced open vascular, plastics minor and major, cardiac open and minimally invasive, ortho total joints minimally invasive and open, ortho trauma, pediatric minor and major including peds cardiac, urology, gyn <li>Scrubs Provided <li>Weekends required as rotation. Saturday and Sundays are considered weekend rotation <li>HealthTrust Facility <li>Travel nurses are required to float when requested and as needed. There is no set frequency. <li>Timekeeping - Kronos <li>Modules required prior to starting. Client will email them directly to the nurse once they're fully compliant. Modules will be unpaid. Approximate time is 3 Hours </ul> <p>A surgical technologist is present within the operation room and provides help to surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists. The technologist will hand necessary instruments to the surgeon, so that the surgery can be more easily be performed. It is important to be able to anticipate which devices the surgeon will use, so that no time is lost. Certain equipment may also be monitored by the technologist, such as machinery relating to the observance of vital signs.<br> <br> <br> Set up and maintain surgical field, collaborating with nurses and doctors and assisting where required.<br> • Assemble, transport, and retrieve surgical equipment, ensuring all pieces leave the room.<br> • Keep all needed surgical equipment at the ready, including sterile linens, saline, lights, suction machines, etc.<br> • Inspect, maintain, decontaminate, and repair surgical equipment, keeping inventory records up to date.<br> • Conduct pre- and post-surgery patient care, including shaving, transporting, and applying dressings.<br> <br> WF <span style="font-size: 9.0pt;">835368</span></p>
Qualifications:

Basic travel nursing requirements include:

  • 1-2 years recent experience in the job's primary area of care
  • Active license or appropriate accreditation in one of the 50 US states
  • Additional requirements & certifications as may be requested by the specificfacility/unit
  • An enthusiastic, adventurous spirit with a desire to help
