Please do not submit with any time off request. <li>This is a Union hospital <li>Position is needed due to new Tower (#11) opening in June <li>Preceptor experience or trainer, must be reflected on profile <li>RN is required to complete paid virtual orientation (approx. 14 hrs) JUNE 24-25. In persons orientation JUNE 26. <li>COMPLIANCE DUE by Friday JUNE 14 </ul> <br> <strong><u>Unit Details:</u></strong>  <ul> <li>Required Certs: BLS, ACLS <li>Only one start available; 6/24, 13 weeks <li>Shift: 4 days per week, start time is 2PM, every other weekend. <li>Beds: 41 <li>Ratios: 5:1 <li>Patient population-m/s tele <li>Drips? standard <li>Tele monitoring: bedside <li>Who are they educating - staff and/or travelers?   Combo; staff and travelers. Candidate will be working with hosp education dept to train staff on m/s tele hosp procedures and hospital standard of care expected. <li>Education/Experience needed: A Master's degree is required. If candidates have a minimum of 2 years of Educator experience the DON will consider. <li>Must have experience in M/S TELE <li>Hospital requests that candidates be clinically savvy. Working on the floor is required. This position is very hands-on. <li>EMR: Meditech (experience preferred but not required) <li>Scrub color: white </ul> <br> <strong><u>Other Helpful Info:</u></strong> <ul> <li>Traveler friendly facility <li>Provides thorough orientation to floors <li>Many of our travelers have stayed 1+ year and like to return as well <li>Strong nurse leadership <li>Location is near Long Beach area, close to ocean, easy to get to Queens/Brooklyn/NYC/Manhattan and areas of Long Island <li>Easy parking and lots of public transportation <li>Community type hospital </ul> Local rate: $85<br>
Qualifications:

Basic travel nursing requirements include:

  • 1-2 years recent experience in the job's primary area of care
  • Active license or appropriate accreditation in one of the 50 US states
  • Additional requirements & certifications as may be requested by the specificfacility/unit
  • An enthusiastic, adventurous spirit with a desire to help
