<strong><u>Facility Details:</u></strong><br>

  • Will accept non-vaccinated Covid travelers<br>
  • 400 Bed Hospital<br>
  • Level III Trauma Center (Function as a Level II so they like RN's that have at least Level II Trauma experience)<br>
  • Only willing to approve RTO for 1 of 3 Major Holidays<br>
  • Asante will consider longer contracts through the Holidays if the traveler is interested<br> <br>

<strong><u>Orientation:</u></strong><br>

  • 48hrs<br>
  • 13 weeks<br>
  • Orientation on Mondays<br>
  • 32-36 hours critical care orientation ICU, IMCU and CVICU<br> <br>

<strong><u>Unit Details:</u></strong><br>

  • BLS, ACLS required<br>
  • 2 years minimum critical care experience, post heart cath recovery and patient management<br> - post op day 1 open heart surgery patient management, experience with long term ventilated patients, experience with swan ganz catheters, and vasoactive medication titration.  TEA, Triple A and general surgery patient management. Travelers will not get fresh heart patients. Monitor techs & CNA's on every shift. <br>
  • Shift: 1845-0715, Every other weekend required<br>
  • Will be asked to float as needed<br>
  • Will float to ICU, IMCU, CVICU, ED first and then Medical Surgical, telemetry, post surgical, ortho neuro, ED. RN Union Contract states traveler or agency nurses float prior to regularly employed staff. If they float to med-surg, they are only there as a resource nurse and may only take up to 3 patients. They may take more if they desire but are not required to do so. <strong>Travelers must be willing to float!</strong><br>
  • Call is not required unless the employee is put on mandatory stand by due to low census for their regularly scheduled shift.  They will never work alone.<br>
  • CVICU: 16, ICU 15, IMCU 13<br>
  • 1:1, 1:2 in ICU and CVICU, 1:3 in IMCU.  The unit is also staffed with a CNA/US, Monitor Tech, an unencumbered charge RN, and relief nurse if staffing allows.<br>
  • Solid colored scrubs, no color preference. No tattoos above shoulders can be shown, and only facial piercings allowed is nose stud. Natural hair color only (no green/purple/blue etc)<br>
  • EPIC/OMNI Cell experience preferred<br> <br>

  • Medford is 4th Largest City in Oregon with about 80,000 people - with a total population including the surrounding cities (Ashland, Jacksonville, Grants Pass) of 200,000 people<br>
  • It is only 20 miles north of the CA boarder; 1.5hrs to the Coast; 1.5hrs to Crater Lake; about 5hrs to Portland, OR; Tons of Wineries and Breweries in this area<br> <br>

Basic travel nursing requirements include:

  • 1-2 years recent experience in the job's primary area of care
  • Active license or appropriate accreditation in one of the 50 US states
  • Additional requirements & certifications as may be requested by the specificfacility/unit
