<p>Nurse to Patient Ratio  1:4-5; 25/7</p>

<p>No childish scrub characters, as we are an adult unit. </p>

<li>
<p>The first day is EPIC training and some mandatories in the department along with time on the floor. They then receive 2 full 12 hour shifts of orientation on the floor.</p>

<li>
<p>Floating to other units/departments? Yes, all nurses in department are Gen Med competencied and therefore may be asked to float to any Gen Med unit throughout hospital. Travelers Float First</p>

<li>
<p>Bed size/number of rooms in the unit: SSU is currently a 13 Bed unit, we have been approved/ plan to expand to up to an additional 10 beds in new expanded location. </p>

<p> Shift of Schedule requirements</p>

<li>
<p>No Call.</p>

<li>
<p>Every other weekend (Saturday / Sunday on Day Shift and either Friday / Saturday or Saturday / Sunday on night shift to follow unit patterns) </p>

<li>Every other Holiday (Days holidays are: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day. Nights holidays are: Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, Memorial Day Eve, the 3rd of July Nights, and Labor day Eve)

Qualifications:

Basic travel nursing requirements include:

  • 1-2 years recent experience in the job's primary area of care
  • Active license or appropriate accreditation in one of the 50 US states
  • Additional requirements & certifications as may be requested by the specificfacility/unit
  • An enthusiastic, adventurous spirit with a desire to help
